New EU Project SPAS – website now online

After the EU project KAPA GS (http://www.feinstaubfrei.at/), another environmental project – SPAS – was submitted by the Department of Environmental Protection and approved by the EU.
This new EU LIFE-Environment Project, which is called SPAS (Sound and Particle Absorbing System), will run until 31 December 2009. The project SPAS tests measures to reduce particulate matter caused by resuspension and lasts for 3 years.
It tests 3 different prototypes of noise-protection walls with fine-dust filter elements mounted on them.
To provide information on the results achieved in the course of SPAS, the website on this project is now available online and will be regularly extended and updated.
